The ball game last Monday between Mitchell and West Baden resulted in a score of 9 to 15 in favor of the latter. The Mitchell 'team were.decidedly off in the first part of the game aridthe colored team secured a lead• • % •that the Mitchell boys could not| overcome. During the game there were two of the dirtiest plays ever seen on a diamond— one on Kimbley, of Orleans, and the other on Tirey, of Mitchell— Kimbley having a two inch gash in his head that will leave a mark for life, caused by being spiked |by one of the '‘coons.” Such ball playing will not be tolerated any place and the sooner amends are made the better off the game will be. Such play erg should not be allowed to grace a ball diamond.
