Both will beJ played tonight in this contingency.The bearded team has not lost a game in the tourney, in which each of the 1H teams which started the grind Aug. 1 had to lose two-contests to he eliminated. The Monarchs, only negro team ever to play in the event, has suffered only one lass— a 2 to 1 setback to theDavids last Friday.The tw'o clubs wmn their semi-final games yesterday, the Monarchs from the Eason Oilers of Enid, Okla., 5 to 4, and the hirsute contingent from the Humble Oilers of Overton, Texas, 8 to 2.The House of David was expected to send Satchel Paige, its lanky negro hurl-cr from Pittsburgh, to the box in tonight’s battle. He already has pitched and won three games. The Monarchsmay retailate with their ace, Willie Foster, a southpaw, although they had to call on him to twirl more than four innings yesterday to subdue the Oklahomans.
