GRAYS AWAIT BRIDGEPORTConnecticut Gi*nt Farm, Second When Eistern League Disbanded, Comes MondayThe State Hospital Grays will meet another Eastern League Club here Monday in an effort to keep a tight hand over minor loop competition. This coming outfit, however, is Bridgeport which was a close runner-up to Pittsfield when the Eastern League disbanded for the season because of financial slumps.Bridgeport, however, had been feeling 120 such strain on the exchequer as did most of the other clubs and, like New Haven, remained intact after the state of defunctness was announced. Perhaps Bridgeport's status as a farm for the New York Giants had something to do with it. Any rate they'li bring a bunch of potential big time performers here Monday.And lime's the Bridgeport roster:Maguire cf, Cooney 2b, Rosen li. Lehman 3b. Towley rf. Stapleton lb. Vamesc ss. Ariug c, Bclaski p and Marena p.The Grays have cut loose against every one except two of the _ eight clubs they’ve met—and the visitors were of the best grade obtainable.
