Toledo Eliminates Indianapolis, 3-0A 3-run fifth inning gave Toledo a 3 to 0 win this morn- j ing over Indianapolis in the loser’s bracket semi-finals of the national V. F. W. softball tournament. ,The win moved Toledo into the loser’s bracket finals opposite Austin, Tex., in a game which was scheduled for 1 o’clock this afternoon.Toledo ace pitcher Frank Sosko came through with a single in that inning which drove in two runs. Lou Torda started the rally with a single. Larry Toth : was hit by a pitch, and Lou Nvers singled in Torda. Then Sosko came up with his 2-run single.Indianapolis pitcher Jack Wagner, starting his third game in 115 hours, held the winners in check with the exception of that fifth inning.Toledo ____ 000 030 0—3 6 0Indianapolis 000 000 0—0 3 0Sosko and Gall; Wagner and I Baker.
