House of David Nine Feature of Denver TourneyDENVER, Aug. 11.——A ferocious batting attack in the last half of the ninth inning salvaged six runs for the House of David team today, enough to enable them to beat the United Fuel of Denver, 14 to 13.It was the weirdest game of the current baseball tournament, staged by the Denver Post.By way of contrast, low-scoring baseball was served up in the first game, in which the Eason Oilers of Enid, Okla., defeated the Los Angeles M Sc O team, 4 to 3. Both losers were erased from the tourney.The House of David team, unbeaten In the tourney so far, received a thorough scare from the scrappy Denverites, who tallied seven runs in the fourth inning to take a large lead. They appeared to have the game safely in hand until the hihsute warriors’ when on their final hitting spree.The four surviving teams will come come to grips tomorrow in semifinal contests, the Enid team clashing with t' ' Kansas City, Mo., Mon-archs at 1 p. m.. and the House of David meeting the Humble Oilers of Overton. Tex., at 3 p. m.The winners will play for the championship Monday night.
