PORTABLE LIGHTING MAKES BASEBALL AT .NIGHT POSSIBLEChief Bender, the famous Indian and former Big League* pitcher, and his House of David Baseball Club, who carry their own Portable Flood Lights, willplay here next Thursday against the Huntingdon All Stars on theP. R. R. field.The Electric Flood Lighting-portable system of the House of Dai id Club can be moved, set up; and taken down, and transported'from one baseball park to an-* other. They have successfully-lighted nearly every minor and major league park in the United; States besides hundreds of smaller: parks. The huge electric flood ilights can he set up after a day game has been played. This equipment can be erected in about one hour, and he ready to turn night into day. The large projectors c.re mounted on fiO-Cooi poles and placed around the entire playing fieiti^Tfies0 poles are similar in construction to a telescope, or a*fire department with its extension'ladders. The lights are erected so they will light the ground as well as the sky. The entire field:s lighted as light as day, and under these lights cavort the athletes of one of the most colorful: and interesting baseball clubs ever brought together. The people who attend these night games, will not only see a real (ball game, but in addition, Chief Render,-formerly ot the Philadelphia Athletics, directing the long whiskered athletes from Benton Han hor, Michigan.
