Valpo Queens To i Play In District j Softball TourneyTiie Valpo Queens, Indiana state champs, will take part in the eight-team, double-elimination girls West Central Regional softball tourney which opens today in Pekin, 111-Queens arc scheduled to meet the Louisville, Ky., Metros at 8:45 p. m. Thursday.The other six teams entered arc the Chicago Metros, Indianapolis, Wisconsin State, Illinois State, Pekin Lettes, and I Illinois runner-up. rSue Jones and Donna. Sdiwenk will share the mound duties for the Valpo club, with Anna Savini behind the plate.,Other probable starters fori I Dr. Jesse McCanns Queens are:I Sue Kidd, first base; Ruth Davis or Schwenk, second base; Jerry Movchan, shortstop; Mary Baumgartner, third base; Beverly Maudlin, left field; * Rita Smith, center field: and; Linda Herman or Shoila Jones,-right field.
