30 Men Will Carry On Golf Fund Drive* . .A new method of raising, money for upkeep of the Joplin municipal golf course was announced today by Nate Bosenberg and Ben Malang, drive leaders, at a meeting of the golf association held at the Elks Club.Fifteen pairs of men who will pledge the raising of (100 a pair will be recruited in a few days. This method ^will give drive work-- lt;9 m \ers a definite amount of work and♦will encourage them to finish theirpart in a hurry.It was reported that practicallyevery person interviewed contributed to the support of the golf course.The problem, according to Bosen-berg and Malang, is getting men to do the interviewing.“As far as possible, “ said Malang, “we are avoiding the men who are always asked for popular subscriptions. We are trying to balance matters by reaching every one, particularly those who can give but a small amount. The more donaters we have the more boosters, A man feels on interest in- the proposition when he goes down into his pocket.
