Art Sherman, pro-fesslnnal of the Sioux City Country club, says he will bring fifteen or twenty good golf players to compete at Spencer. Information received by the local club is that there is a likelihood of such renowned players as BUI Ingham and Kobert McKee of Des Moines, Rudy and Fred Knep-per of Sioux City, coming to Spencer to take part in the tournament. Golf clubs from Chorokee. Storm Lake, Fort Dodge, Rolfe, Marshalltown and may other towns are expected to be represented.Twenty members of the Spencer Country Club went to Fort Dodge Sunday and were defeated by the Fort Dodge golfers 30 to 11 in a foursome contest. One of the features of the day was the playing of Walter ThomnH, recently winner in the Okoboji tournament. It was reported that Mr. Thomas lost seventeen straight holeB to his Fort Dodge opponent.Last Thursday fifteen Spencer golfers took part In a four cornered tournament at Rolfe.
