BaseballLeagueThe Peoples Bank and Trust Baseball Team has concluded the 1977 season with a 19-4 record.Highlighting the season was finishing second in the Ohio Northern Tournament. The Bank team lost in the finals to the tough Findlay Owls, 5-4, in extra innings. Kissel's handed the Bank team three losses while Findlay had the other.The Bank team ended season play with a .346 team batting average. Mike Elston and Steve Zeigler had a 477 and 439 batting average respectively. They also had nine players hitting over .300. They were Randy and Rick Bachman. Steve Long. Tim Rickard. Jim Schneider, Jon Davis. Terry Griner, Tim Baumer and Steve Vaske. Gary Clay led the team in stolen bases with 11 steals in 11 attempts.The uticlnng was outstanding.
