Earlier in thte week the Aiken Team defeated Peach Belt No. 1 8-0 and North Augusta 6.5 in nine innings. The winning pitchers were Kes Woodward, Wilson Plunkett and Pat Poison. The Aiken team begins play in the Palmetto Boys Baseball State Tournament August 8 at 4 p. m.
