This is the first? time that any of the title frames will I be played outside Soldier Field, and 1 it was only after great pressure was placed on the championship committee by the leading citizens of For-5 est Park that the Parichy stadium 5 was chosen.7 M. J. Pauley, executive secretary 7 of the Amateur Softball association, 7 was assured that the seating arrangement at the stadium would be I increased to seat 10,000 spectators I on each of the two days, and that all1 civic organizations would cooperate in the successful staging of the2 games. Nine games will be played 5 each day with four in the afternoon- and five in the evening. Impressive ' ceremonies appropriate to a world’schampionship will be added to the provram.Although it will be some time before the teams which will play on each day are chosen, it is certain that i, all of the important cities and states- will be represented. One of the i terms of the agreement was thatthere shall be more girls’ teams than r bovs’ taking part in the two day i show. The games in the girls’ division have proved the more popnlar i in the past with the fans which i caused both Ed Baumgartner and i- E. A. Parichy to insist that they be- given the choice snot. I.ast year 82 1 girls’ teams and 52 bovs’ teams rep-e resenting most of the states and r metropolitan cities took part in the b championships, and from present in-i dications an equal number of con-i tenders will head for Chicago early- in September.
