The bewhisker.ed chuckers, whose actual playing had been marked by a sober, businesslike attitude and the absolute avoidance of clowning tactics, proved themselves able comedians and staged a ball-juggling performance that kept the crmvd laughing for nearly ten minutes.Slugging honors were nabbed in decisive fashion by Clift, tall out-fielder-pitcher for the House of Davids. In five trips to the plate, the lanky hitter pasted out two home runs, a triple and a double, and was responsible for scoring or driving in a heavy share of his team’s runs.
