Ogdensburg Dropped Two1,000 Fans See House of Davids in Action Under Flood Lights.A thousand fans saw the House of David team defeat the All Og-densburg-Canton combination 13 to 2 in a game at Winter Park j Sunday night. The field was brilliantly illuminated with flood lights and the crowd had little difficulty in following the course of: the game. O'Reilly was in the ! box for the home team and was 1 hit hard/St. Dennis succeeded him. Walsh hurled eight innings for the Davids and in the ninth was re- j placed by Jackie Mitchell, girl • pitcher from Tennessee. jIt was announced prior to the game that Chief Bender, the old j time Indian pitcher, -would be in the box for the Davids, but he was not with the team. It was stated by the other players that he injured his knee cap some time ago and did not accompany them on their northern tour. The Davids left yesterday morning for Oswego.The Canton Pirates defeated Ogdensburg 9 to 5 in a league game at Winter Park Sunday afternoon. Fine pitched for Ogdensburg and received poor support.
