Last Card Down wins Khoury League TourneyLast Card Down, a team playing out of Texas City, was the winner of the l-team, double-elimination slo-pitch softball tourney sponsored by the Ridgway Khoury league over the weekend LCD was unbeaten in the tourney, rolling over Mt Vernon, Ind , 12-5, Carmi 7-3 andShawneetown by scores of 13-8 and 9-5. Members of the winning team were: John Choate, Brent Browning, Curt Vick, Scott Rister of Kidgway, Ron Clark, Greg Pyle, Scott Rister of Eldorado, Dwayne Millspaugh, FredKendall, Barry Blair, JimHenson and Junior Farley.Finishing second in the tourney was Baldwin Liquors of OldShawneetown In addition to thetwo losses to IX’D, Baldwin downed Ashworth of Mt. Vernon, Ind., twice (3-2 and KM)), J J Welding of Mt. Vernon, Ind , 1-0 iin 10 innings) and Carmi 11-6.Unique...move our books via a kind of literary bucket brigade. When the Liberty Bell visited the library during the Bicentennial, the whole town turned out to celebrate.Soon the flowers will wilt andMembers of the Baldwin team included Rick Milligan, Bill Winters, Rick Bard, Bruce Bard, John Robinson, Danny Stevens, Radar Patton, Rex Flahardy, Doyle Collins, Gary Barker, Herbv ' *Nunley and Lloyd Tver,1 J Welding was the third place winner, while Ashworth captured the fourth place trophy. Vernon, Ind.) Independents, Eldorado Merchants. Morganfield (Ky.) Spirit Time, Thomas Ag of Morganfield 'Kyi, Mill Shoals and Ridgway Continental Grain.Khoury league officials would like to thank everyone who helped in any way with the tourney. It would be next to impossible to name all who volunteered during the four days of competition as someone would surely be overlooked.The volunteers were numerous for umpiring duties, iperating the concession stands and watering the diamonds. Everyone’s help was greatly appreciated.
