Beausejour 2.Line: Pine Falls - 3-10*3*8.Beausejour - 2-5-0-6.Two unearned runs was all that marred the pitching performance of Ken King of Pine Falls, pitching out of four tough jams, really bearing down when the going got rough, allowing only 5 hits, all singles, walking 3, which was few considering the meaning of this game, striking out 5, all big outs. A whale of a job on the mound by the Pine Falls pitcher. B. Honke on the mound for Beausejour was almost equal in performance, pitching out of trouble several times as Pine Falls had base runners every inning, allowing only 3 runs on 10 hits, stranding 8 runners, he walked only one batter and fanned two.This was a ball game that had a little of every thing, considering ihat it was the last game of the year it will live in the memories of many for a longtime, what a way to finish off: the ball season in our league..The Ball Team after the contest, quenched their thirst at the Shamrock, from there it was to D. Harrison's place for more of the same but with added entertainment and a song session. Heavy Chevy on the guitar and Bui I it on the bongos, playing everthing from folk western to latin american south. A real blast to celebrate.The two players Pine Falls decided to pick up were K. Ma-gura-hitting star with Beausejour and R. Naismith as the extra pitcher for the playdowns.
