HOUSE OF DAVIDTO CLASH WITHNEEDLEWORKSBewhiskered Tossers to Meet Local Winners at Farmers’ Picnic TomorrowThe House of David baseball team, which will meet Royersford Needleworks at Lake View park tomorrow afternoon during the farmers’ picnic, made quite a record in compe-titon with the leading semi-pro clubs of Philadelphia this season. This club defeated Frankford, Bart-ram and South Phillies, of the Philadelphia twilight league and the fast Passon team, which plays night ball at 48th and Spruce streets.The past season it defeated Joe Bush’s AU-Phlllies and won three successive games from Ed Gottlieb’s Philadelphia Hebrews.^ aside from defeating Wentz-Olney, Mayfair, Nicetown and other teams of the twilight league. The bearded club also defeated North End A. C., of Phillipsburg, N. J., in five straight games the past season and won two out of three from the same club this year.The team furthermore holds victories over the Philadelphia Athletics, 10 to 7 and a 3 to 2 victory over St. Louis Browns and Baltimore Orioles.The line-up for the game here Wednesday afternoon is as follows:Getz ss Woods lb, Forman cf, Rangnow c, Hoffner 3b, Stravacas 2b, Rutierman If, Cassana rf, Jan-esko, Ramsey or O’Grady p.
