where water skiers will take oil.25 Boats in ParadeThere'll be 25 or more boats in the grand parade and about a dozen of them will be decorated. In the boats will be the seven lovely young women who comprise the Aquacade court. They later will present the trophies, and there’ll be four for each boat race and four for each swimming race. Parade boats do not include those that will race.Boating enthusiasts who plan to decorate their boats include Phil Wolfenberger, A1 Burkheimer, Karl Hursa, Ted Eickemeyer, George Thiele, Chauncey Olm-stead, Ray Bennett, Roy Lentz and Roy Richardson, the last named of Richardson Marine and an assistant general chairman for the show.Many entries have been received for the boat races. Only fishing boats powered by stock outboard motors can compete. Richardson stated today that more entries are needed in the first two classes — up to 35 horspower and 15 to 25 horsepower. All drivers, regardless of brand of motor, have equal chances to win trophies, Richardson said.All four races will be over a quarter mile course, five laps to a race. Each race will be in two heats.Skiers to PerformEntries in the boat races can be made at Knudson’s Marine, Helgesen’s Marine, Richardson’s Marine and the Gazette sports department.Representing the Rock River Boat Association in exhibitions of water skiing will be Betty and Juanita Henderson, Joy Burkhcim-er, Mary Cash, Don Snyder, A1 Burkheimer and Tom Kuhlow.
