*Richard Morton, of Russellville, Ky., died last Saturday night at West Baden of hemorrhage of the lungs. “Dickie”, as he was familiarly known, was one of the best known and most highly respected negroes about West Baden. He was scrupulously honest, and was away above the average of his race in point of intelligence. He was a jolly good fellow and his droil wit made him welcome in any crowd. He was 47 years old, and for more than ten years had been an employe at West Baden Springs.His- semahis- wre shipped fce-Russellville Sunday evening, and were accompanied by quite a number of colored folks from Baden, among whom were Jonah Hardin, Lenn Beechern, Dudley Sebree, Kiene Johnson, Henry Luckey and Mrs. Nellie Hughes. Dick was a good fellow and contributed his mite towards making others, happy. Let that be his passport.
