Compliment for Brownies. The Times-Ileiald has noted thepopularity of the Algona Browniesthis year and we must say that theyhave drawn larger crowds and gavethem better entertainment than anyteam in the independent or Three I leagues. It lias led us to this conclusion, that Mason City next year can f get hold of a colored team that can £ play fast ball and get them at a figure u within reach. Mason City should support a ball team and it can do it and do it well. This year was quite a i heavy drain. The association had less I than a thousand dollars to start on and had to lit up the ball park at a cost of $500 and they didn’t have only a little over $200 left to go on. A few I bad days and money was all gone. The Times-Herald is heartily in sympathy of going to work now and getting in condition to maintain a colored team next year.—Mason City Times-IIerald.
