PATRICK DOOLEY Delta Democrat TimesRandy Williams (left) and Tommie ‘School Boy' Parks answer questions at Wednesday's press conference at the Zorial Club. weanesaay sin fight warmups■ Local boxers will meet foes here Friday, Aug. 13.Greenvillian Randy Williams returns to the ring Friday, Aug. 13, in a junior middleweight bout against James Campbell at Elwyn Ward Recreation Center.The card of fights will get underway at 8 p.m. Williams’ bout will be a warmup to his September or October bout against former World Middleweight champion Robert Duran at Casino Magic in Bay St Louis.Tommie “School Boy’’ Parks, who moved to Greenville about a year ago, will also be on the card, battling George Hornet in featherweight action.It will be a warmup for Parkswho will battle Paul Hopkins for the World Boxing Council featherweight championship Sept. 8 in London, England.Others fights on the card:- Rodney Gordon of Greenville versus Edward Simmons in light heavyweight action. It will be Gordon’s second pro fight.- Kenny “The Tank” Louis versus Ricky Turner in welterweight action.- Kenneth “The Ragin’ Cajun’ Vice of Lafayette, La., versus Kenneth Johnson also in welterweight action.- Louis “Zorro” McCray ofGreenville versus an unknown opponent in cruiserweight action. It will be McCray’s pro debut.The fights are being sponsored by the Las Vegas Casino.More information on the boxers will appear at a later date.
