ARRANGE JAMBOREE FOR SPORTSMEN ON NEXT SUNDAY, AUG. 8What promises to be one of the biggest gala events of the season is the Sportsmen’s Jamboree to be held at Wayne Lakes Park, six miles south of Greenville, Ohio on Sunday, August 8.The alfair is sponsored by the Anthony Wayne Sportsmen’s Club, an organization that is -well known in Western Ohio for its activities in conservation work.An all-day program including bait and fly casting, in which clubs from Columbus, Cincinnati, Dayton and other cities will participate, will be one of the attractions. There will be trap and rifle shooting and one of the outstanding features will be muzzle-loading rifle shooting, which event has entries from surrounding states. “Boss Johnson of WLW will be one of the participants.Archery will be another attraction in which some of the world’s best archers, men and women, will compete.
