THE STAR/HERALD: Thursday, August 4, 1977 —15Palos-Orland Divers Romp to Fifth CrownAs sure as death and taxes, so is Palos-Orland winning a Des Plaines Valley divingchampionshipFor the fifth straight summer last Friday, Coach Brian VandenBergh’s divers claimed the league’s top position, this time recording 207 team points - 84 in front of runnerup Lawn AquaOver 100 participants competed in the meet at the Palos Heights pool, which saw five Palos-Orland entries capture first place in their respective divisionJERRY FABER won thecompetition for boys 10 and under. teammate George Cotsa-lieff taking third In the 11-12 girls category. Jenise Unhoch was the champion, topping another Palos-Orland diver. Caroline SomrekJean Kettmann was the winner for 13-14 girls, as Nanette Caravette was second And in the 15-18 group, Mary Byars reigned in the girls division and Tim Maley in the boys.Other fine efforts were turned in by Tina Outlev and Tina Caravette, second and fifth respectively in 10 and under girls; Dario Caravette and Greg Svevo, second and third in 11-12 bovs.Also, Pat Unhoch and PeterAthv placed second and third in 13-14 boys, while Peggy Faber earned a fifth and Dave Byars a second in the 15-18 listingMIDLOTHIAN Sun and Fun divers were third in the team standings, totaling 118 points
