Sid Richardson, one of Iowa’s finest golfers of all time, will retire as the N6r* thwestern University ticket manager on Sept. 1, concluding 30 years at Northwestern. A native of Crest on, he was the 1937-38 Big Ten golf champion for Northwestern and was runner-up in 1939. He was also medalist in the 1939 NCAA meet and took the 1936 Western junior golf title. He won numo’ous Iowa golf titles and went to the semi-finals of the Trans Mississini)! one year, losing to Johnny Dawson with the famed Johnny Goodman going on to defeat Dawson in the finals. We caddied for Sid in that (Mie, like we did in about every Iowa golf tournamenthe played in at 50 centsfor nine holes, the going rate in those days.
