O’Shaughnessy WinsThe next game saw two new' faces- Ralph Wittig of ^Milwaukee, an outfielder, came and stayed for the game, and then left. Gordon O’Shaugh-nessy, a pitcher, allowed Oshkosh only six hits and the term evened its score by defeating them 5 to 8. Bill Marlott’s heavy hitting was a large factor. In a midweek game, Jimmy _ Dodge managed to keep 15 hits well spaced and the locals beat Johnny Mostil's Eau Claire club 9 to 7.Again outhitting Green Bay, some slow fielding and eiTors of judgment caused the locals to lose 6 to 5 in a game in which the visitors got onlv seven hits. Dodge was used as an outfielder and he made a poor throw in the last inning which would have sent the game into extra innings had it been good. In a midweek game, the locals tripped Winona of the Southeastern Minnesota league by a 5 to 2 score.A bitter pill to take was the defeat of the locals by Medford to the tune of 5 to 4, in a freakish exhibition. But only two days later the boys redeemed themselves by showing some of the most brilliant baseball seen here in many a moon, against the House of David team. They lost 3 to 1, but 0‘Shaugh-nessy hurled brilliantly, allowing only six hits.
