Dodge was used as an outfielder and he made a poor throw in the last inning which would have sent the game into extra innings had it been good. In a midweek game, the locals tripped Winona of the Southeastern Minnesota league by a 5 to 2 score.A bitter pill to take was the defeat of the locals by Medford to the tune of 5 to 4, in a freakish exhibition. But only two days later the boys redeemed themselves by showing some of the most brilliant baseball seen here in many a moon, against the House of David team. They lost 3 to 1, but 0‘Shaugh-nessy hurled brilliantly, allowing only six hits.
