iM rtLEAGUE STARS LOSE 2-0 GAME TO TRAVELERSHouse of David's great touring nine yesterday won a 2-0 game from the Calumet Industrial league allstars at Turner field behind the six-hit pitching of Hagen. The allstars gathered up six bingles and a base on balls but couldn't notch a single run off the whiskered star's masterful hurling.Big Tim Murchison southpawed beautifully for the losers but got no hitting behind him and left at the start of the sixth inning when the score was 1 to 0. The lone run came off Murchison in the first inning when Fawcett, the House of David lead-off man, got a base on balls, pilfered second and cantered home in front of Faust’s line single.Blackstone, who also pitched fine ball for the all-stars, allowed another run in the 9th inning when Dewhirst, pinch hitting for Second Baseman Williams, belted a. long triple to score Heckman, who had singled. The all-star* lost a fine scoring chance in the Tth inning when Vic Mettler singled to start the Inning. The bases were cleared, however, when Ralph White laid down a sacrifice bunt and Mettler was thrown out trying to get on third base with the tieing run. The box score:AH-Stnrs—0 ! H. of David—2R H R.
