IlKitAi.n:—Since July I tlu» Cnion hose loam has said but little about their ability to down Kldora, but the Union Star lias boon asking if Kldora had a ball elnl» - if they could play ball, etc.-showing they wero after our scalps on this score. Last fall the Cnion band, which had tried so long to boat Kldora, gave up in despair, and owned up that Kldora could play music they could not touch. Then tho Cnion gun club came boldly to the front to do up Kldora; hut they failed after losing nearly all tho money they had. The Cnion hoys then said: “Wo acknowledge Kldora has tho best hand and best gun dub, but we have a hose team that can always and forever heat Kldora.” On July 4th last they were fully convinced they were again in error, for tho Kldora team came out victorious in a well contested race, but did no loud blowing about it. The Union Star, not content with throe straight defeats, now asks, Can Kldora play ball? Oh, chestnuts!-better try to play pin. Kldora has no ball club at present, but if we can out-blow them, out-shoot them and out-run them, they should be satis-tied; if not, we will get a few little boys and do them up 011 this, and wait for Union to 11 ml out what they are good at.
