The O’Coft-nell brothers and Sleffert own the two cars already equipped for playing the game, and are building two more* ,H. AT. Moore, Lloyd Calame and others, are also preparing cars to join in this sport, and polo balls and mallets have been secured by the contestants and the first practice game will be staged next Sunday.There are thrills a plenty In this sport, and the cars are given such rough usage that they soon reach the junk pile, and a game well played keeps the spectators keyed up while in progress.While the cars and equipment have been furnished by the players, the big item to be provided will be the push ball which will cost about $150, and several of the local business and professional men of the city have expressed a willingness to contribute toward the purchase of this ball to enable the teams to give Freeport something new and novel in the way of entertainment, which heretofore it has been necessary* to seek in other cities.
