Ridge Wins Title With 13-8 RompSCHELLSBURG— Ridge captured its own little league tournament Friday night at Schellsburg, handing Hynd-man a 13-8 defeat in a loosely played contest. Ridge finished the week-long event with a 4-1 chart, while Hyndman was 4-2.Craig Miller went the distance for Ridge, allowing seven hits, whiffing 12 and walked four. Three pitchers saw duty for the losers, giving up 9 hits. Hyndman committed six errors, while Ridge was guilty of three.Hyndman jumped on Miller for four runs in the top of the first and it looked as though they would take command of the game. Mike Lehman andDave Shaffer and walks to Loren Kennell and Tim May accounted for the Hyndman tallies.Ridge made it a 4-3 game in their half of the inning, with two errors and singles by Fred Kohler and Jeff Crist getting the runs home.The winners took a 9-3 lead with a six-run second. Two errors, two walks, a hit batsman, a single by Lenny Davis and a two-bagger off the stick of Doug Mueller did the damage for Ridge.Hyndman came charging back with four in the third, cutting the margin to 9-8.
