(UPI) —Dr. Kiyo Tashiro, like most men his age, enjoys football games on the weekend, but after that, the similarity ends. While most 48-year-old fathers with five children turn on the television set to watch a game, Dr. Tashiro can he found turning on thespeed to overtake an opponent during an Atlantic Coast Football League contest.I play for fun, said the former Harvard wingback. I guess I just never grew up.It has been fun for 39 years, ever since Dr. Tashiro began playing organized football back home in Cincinnati at the age of nine. And lie has been participating actively since then, except for internship.Dr. Tashiro recently signed a contract with Mohawk Valley of the ACFL. But this, his 10th year of weekend professional football, is different from the rest.As far as conditioning, the stocky 5-foot, 10-inch, 196-pounder has retained a lot more skills than most men my age. I may not be as fast and my eyesight may not he as sharp, but nobody plays any easier against me.
