Matthews Bests Couhig.mLouisville, Ky., April 29.—Matty Matthews of Brooklyn got the decision tonight in the 20 round contest for thewelterweight championship of theworld over Tom Couhig of Dunkirk. Couhig had the best of the fight up to the eighth round, but his nose was broken in the ninth and in the 13th he was nearly out. The bout took place' at the Buckingham theater under the auspices of the New Monarch Athletic club.
