Cruciani throws no-hitterTodd Cruciani became the first Fond du Lac pitcher to hurl a no-hitter in six years Wednesday afternoon when he authored a 3-0 masterpiece over Berlin at Fairgrounds Park.The junior right-hander was the complete master, striking out nine and walking three in recording his first victory of the season. It was the third straight win for the Cardinals.Ron Mattefs, who turned the trick in 1970 against Mayville, was the last Fond du Lac pitcher to get a no-hitter.Cruciani was strong from start to finish against Berlin.
