Petersfield Curlerskipper ,r*d DanceIIJack Murdoch rink and company of Jack skip, Horace Murdoch third, Bill Pollock secondand Bill Fedorchuk lead walked home with almost all of the hardware for this year’s regular men’s curling. They got the A division trophy, the grand aggregate trophy as winners of A, B and C division and the club championship trophy for losing the least amount of games during the season.The B division trophy winners were Lorne Croy, Hamid Taylor, Jack Shuster and Mike Riley. The C division trophy winners were Bob Riley, Rickie Mabee, Bob Mabee and Henry Bunke.The trophies were given out after the curlers and their wives or girl friends enjoyed a delicious smorgasbord supper. There were approximately 160 people for supper. Gerard Viau, our club president, gave the toast and presented * the trophies.After the supper and presentations the tables were cleared and the doors opened, the dance was held with good music and a good time had by all. The mixed trophies were alsogiven out, going to WilmerFedorchuk, Mary Ellen Fedorchuk, Glen Palmer and Dorothy Palmer.The women also took the opportunity to present the trophy winners. Mary Ellen Fedorchuk and company won the clubchampionship and Doris Taylor and company winning the divisional championship trophy.Congratulationsthe winners and to those less fortunate, better luck next year.
