Aero Energy All-Times Wrestling113-Nate Newberry, fr. Riglerville 35-10Newberiy turned in a dazzling freshman debut, winning 35times while giving the Canners another hammer at the bottom of their lineup. The newcomer placed second at the Section 1 tournament and fourth at districts to earn a spot in the SE regional field. A 1-0 loss denied Newberiy a trip to states.126-Scott Cooper, fr. Biglerville 33-13Cooper was nothing but steady from start to finish, more thanholding his own even against seasoned competition. With a penchant for grabbing bonus points, Cooper was key for the Canners’ run to a 24-3 record. The freshman was third at sectionals and fourth at districts, missing a spot in the PIAA field by one win.138-Jasper Hankey, jr. Biglerville 40-9Hankey was a force in the middle of the Canner lineup, racking up 26 falls. Not one to shy away from precarious positions, Hankey was effective in mat scrambles. The junior was second at sectionals and third at districts before earning his first trip to states with a fourth-place effort at the regional tournament.160-Tyler Lieberum, sr. Biglerville 37-6 Lieberum was a bonus-point machine for the Canners with22 pins and a whopping seven technical falls as he dominated from the top position. The rangy senior spent the majority of the season at 170 before dropping to 160, where he became a Section 1 champion for the first time and an All-Times pick for the second straight season.170-Josh Asper, sr. Biglerville 36-13Asper’s toughness was on display over the final three weeks of the season, as he battled to earn his first trip to the state tournament. A runner-up finish at sectionals was followed by places of fifth and fourth at districts and regionals, respectively. Asper showed strength and savvy at the Giant Center, winning a pair of close bouts to place eighth in states.285-Trevor Stover, sr. Biglerville 41-4Stover was the area’s most accomplished stopper with 29 pins, giving him 54 falls over his final two seasons. Stover repeatedas a Section 1 and District 3 champion, and was second at regionals for the second straight year. He then pulled off a rare feat at states by winning five straight consolations bouts to place third, becoming only the second Times Area heavyweight to claim two PIAA medals.Second Team113-Dalton Becker, jr.
