Boys Clip A-Oby Dave Wiebke Remsen-Union defeated Anthon-Oto in the first meet of the season by the score of 61 to 51. The R-U boys took 11 of the 14 first places, with Leon Harte and Marlin Harris getting 4 1st places each. Leon broke the school record in the shot put tossing it 40’ 11”, the record had previously been held by Roger Presuhn at 39’. Marlen Harris broke the long jump record with a jump of 187”, the old record was held by Doug Son-nichson at 18’4'\ Other first places for R-U were:Discus — Burdette Holtgrewe High jump — Marlen Harris 440 yd. dash — Marlen Harris 120 yd high hurdles — Bruce Peters 180 yd. low hurdles — Leon Harte 880 yd. run — Marlen Harris 220 yd. dash — Leon Harte Mile relay — Burdette Holtgrewe, Ron Theisen, Jim Waters and Bruce Peters100 yd. dash — Leon Harte The R-U boys will travel to Alta for the Alta relays Friday. Remsen placed 7th in the event.
