Dean, W right Place In MeetKNOXVILLE—S. D. Dean of DobynS'Bennett finished second in file mile and Leslie Wright of Ketron took third place in the pole vault in ihc Southern Interscholastic Track Meet here Saturday night.Dean was beaten for the first time in the mile event. He trailed Andy Russell of Union City in the event. Russell turned in a brilliant time of 4:21.4 and Dean was clocked at 4:33.D-B’s Angle finished fifth in the event.Wright, Ketron’s ace, vaulted 12 feet even to get his third place finish.Hendersonville won the meet on the final event of the eve* ning. The North Carolina team finished with 42 points followed by Oak Ridge with 41.Other area teams to score In the event were.
