By JACK HARSHAW]Press Sports Editor i toitioAdolph (Buit) Arlltt, remembered by many Carthage baseball fans from the Ark-Mo league days of 15 years ago and the KOM league In 1M€, sends along his regards te all of his former baseball friends from his home in Empire, Ore.Arlltt, contacted in regard to a recent bit of reminiscing about the debut of professional baseball in Carthage In INI, notes he cannot supply any additional Information since he has lost all contact with his former players. And his present home is remote from baseball, other j thlt; than that seen on television. The weather does not permit a good baseball season, although there was a Sunday league in operation there from 1*47 to 1*57. Buz* remained active as a player until IMS when the legs began to go. He turned to umpiring and called them until baseball folded in 1*57.From 1*1? until March of last year, Arlltt worked for Evans Products company. When the company closed down permanently, Arlltt and his wife, Mary, were able to get in some camping and hunting (the things they always said they were going to do). They also tried a their hand at harvesting strawberries and string beans, just because they always wanted to try it. Since mid-January, he has been employed by the city of Empire.The Arlltt*’ daughter, Louise, who was with them in Carthage in|of 1*16, lives just a mile from them with her five boys, aged S to 11 yeurs, he reports. Mrs. Arlltt underwent knee surgery in February* buttorthe kilis now returning to normal and both are looking forward to retiremeat 1 ^ age when they ran resort to trailer-house living snd roam around thecount rv.
