Carroll slammed in the pole vault while Lawrenceslammed in the javelin. In the latter event all three Vikings tossed the spear farther than the old college record.Joe Graf, Lawrence’s ace sprinter, copped the 100 but was forced to take second in the 220 when he was nosed out in the final 50 feet. Frank Schubert took the mile in a great race, Bruce Stevens galloped over the lows for a first.
