Raiders Host South Union, Hawk SquadsConnellsville Downs Uniontown In Dual Meet CompetitionA triangular track and fieldmeet is scheduled for UniontownHigh School Stadium at 3:45o’clock this afternoon.In the battle for scoring honors will be host Uniontown, So u t h Union and Redstone. It's the second straight day of cinder action for the Maroon and White who yesterday made up an earlier meet that was postponed by the weather.Connellsville was victorious in yesterday’s action which was staged in Coker Stadium. The Orange and Black scored an 81% to 45'/3 victory over the team of Coach Abe Everhart.Uniontown had three first places and tied for two others. Connellsville came home ahead of the field in the other 10 events.Tim Beeman was a double victor for the Cokers with first places in the shotput and javelin.John Manning. Jim White and Tom Fee were first place finishers for the Maroon and White, winning the 440. 880 and broad jump respectively.Pal Yates tied Betters of Con-ndisville in the high jump and Bennett Gregory finished even with Ron Dascani in the pole vault.This meet had originally been scheduled for last Thursday afternoon in Uniontown but rain and cold forced the postponement to yesterday.In today's triangular meet Uniontown will be bidding for its second triumph of the current campaign.Yesterday's summary follows; High hurdles — Washington, C; Suchevits.
