Bouchard CapturesMonadnock OpenerWINCHESTER, N.H, - Ron Bouchard of Fitchburg, (Mass,) powered the Bob Johnson prepared Vega Into the lead on the sixteenth lap and went on to win Monadnock Speedway's Opening Day feature event.Bouchard trailed Ed Flemke of Southington, (Conn), during the early going in the fifty lap trophy race before edging by on the backstreteh on the sixteenth time around the high-hanked quarter-raite. From then on it was Bouchard's race as he shut the door on Flemke’s repeated attempts to get by. By the time the checker's fell the bid from Fitchburg had a half lap lead on the rest of the field* Flemke remained in second at the finish. Defending Speedway Modified champion Punky Caron of Goshen, N.H., came from ninth position at the start to finish a strnntf third.
