All Stars OutswatLockhart Cubs InClose Contest, 5-4The highly touted Lockhart Cubans bit the dust last Sunday afternoon with a score of 5 to 4, when they met the mighty Kerr-ville Black All Stars at the Colored Park,The game was all for the Cubans and at the beginning of the sixth frame the score was 4-0. The hometown boys staged a thrilling eome-bcak that will be the’ talk of the Settlement and their white friends for many, many days. Pour runs in the seventh and one in the eighth kept the horsehide hot for the All Stars.‘‘Little Joe” Beasely in left field and “Big Hoy” Neal at first base; Lawrence Norris and Nappy Nesby were the hot shots with the old hickory and put the scores across.This week’s contest will be 'between Houston and the All Stars will be held at 3:30 Sunday afternoon, A section of the grandstand will be reserved for white spectators, —^-
