The close contest of Wednesday brought the largest crowd which has been on the Trenton grounds this year and the entire audience felt amply repaid for their attendance. Price at short did most admirable work, accepting eight chances without an error, while Ames’ work behind the bat and Mercur’s pitching are to be especially commended.
