Golfers are greenBy Paul BonfiglinContrary to the prevalentbelief among golfers that it never rains on the golf course,the Howland Golf Team has found that it not only rains on golf courses, it snows on them as well.The team’s first two matches, against Liberty andCanfwW, were canceled due to a combination of snow andwet ground.Head Coach, Bruce Boron says that along with the match cancellation, the weather has also played havoc with practices and his plans for a spring tryout, to augment the results of tryouts held last fall, are going down the drain (if you will pardon the expression).Coach Boron has no returning lettermen from last year’s squad but does have three returnees in seniors Pat Cavalier and Bob Moon, and junior Rick Aslin. Rounding out the rest of the team are juniors Mike Blicher and Bill Par-shall along with sophomores Jimlzant, Rick Marcolini and Jerry Teringo.Out of this group, Coach Boron has tentatively listed Cavalier, Moon. Aslin and Teringo as his starting four.Coach Boron feels that the Mahoning Valley Conference is a very competitive golf league and expects the John F.
