'PERRY'S PIRATES of the 91st BombGroup, runners-up for the 1st Air Div. basketball championship in ’44, chalked up their second win in two starts yesterday by blanking a 78th Fighter Gp. team, 6—0. S/Sgt. Lee Chandler of Chicago paced the winners at bat, connecting for four bingles in four trips, one of them a homer in the second followed by another by S/Sgt. Harmon Blennerhassett, of Berkeley, Cal. . . . The LST 292 quintet downed LST 139, 36^13, for the LST basketball championship of the ETO, ending their season with 60 wins in 65 starts: Pacing the 292nd team in its final contest was “Red” Carlson, former Minnesota star, who tallied 13 points.♦ £ *Pfc Herbert Stunek of Sauk Rapids, Minn., pitched the Section One team to a 12—2 victory over Section Two in the first game of the — BAD sofU ball league. . .. Pjc Tom Reilly of Brooklyn poured through 13 points to lead the Spa A Dams to a 44—27 win over Cookie's Wildcats and the championship of the 4th SAD.
