Demetral May Get Chance at Johnny MeyersMilwaukee Promoter Plans Championship Bout For Next MonthJimmy Demetral of Madison is-on the high road to a match with Johnny Meyers, world’s middleweight mat champion. The match will be held in Milwaukee probably early in May. Promoter Fox, who is putting on the matches weekly :n Milwaukee frith Demetral meeting the best obtainable for him, is planning to bring the champion from Chicago to Milwaukee. This match is in the making at the present time and will be staged here early in May proriding efforts to bring the pair together prove successful,'Meyers has never shown in •Milwaukee since hia annexation of the world’s title. He is a great attraction in Chicago, where he has been wrawmg gates of $9,000 and $10,000 every time he starts.The Meyers-Demetral match, if staged here, will not draw a $9,000 gate, but it vrill attract a great gathering of mat devotees and there is no doubt that such an event could be promoted with success if conducted at the Auditorium.Demetral is willing to meet Meyers, in fact he is ready to engage the champion for nothing, merely to receive an oppor-tunity to capture the crown.
