LAUREL TOMORROWEverything in Keadiness for Big Opening at West End,3 p. m.Everything is in readiness and Laurel baseball lovers are look-ing eagerly forward to the beginning of the season at West Knd park tomorrow. Bay Springs is coming with a strong team to give the locals a double-header, the first game to begin at 3 p. m Big preparations have been made by the management and everything gives promise of an enthusiastic opening.The boys aie putting in hard practice and expect to hand the Bay Springs aggregation a couple of lemons. Webb and Mul-holland will do the pitching foi the locals. “Doe,” the phenomenon, needs no introduction to the Laurel people; they know what to expect when ho goes in the box. Mulholiand will make his debut in the baseball realm here tomorrow, and is reputed to be exceptionally crafty in the manipulation of the orb.With these two, and others who can do the casting act if necessary—for instance,“Sec”—Laurel rooters need have no fear of the results. Those who go out may expect interesting games, however, as Bay Springs is reported to have an unusually strong team this year.A strong sentiment is in favor of closing the business houses.
