gBob KewleyHill VictorFor ArmyNEW HAVEN, Conn. — Bob Kewley, member of Interboro High’s first graduating class in 1956, Sunday recorded his first victory for West Point when he hurled a 7-5 victory over Yale in the snow here.Kewley, a soph, went the full nine Innings, two of which were played in the snow. He allowed six hits .and struck out nine.»The appearance was the third of the season for Kewley who also worked against Fordham and Vermont but without being involved in a decision.Army won the garoe with three ! unearned runs in the ninth inning when Chuck Darby rapped a bases loaded double with two out following two errors and a walk.Kewley, a righthander, pitched brilliantly at Valley Forge Military Academy before being accepted at West Point.Last fall, while playing intramural football, Kewley* suffered a knee injury and had to undergo surgery.
