Cumberland splits doubleheaderWILLIAMSBURG - The Cuniberiaiid College baseball team split a doubleheader with district foe Campbellsville Saturday.In the first game. Campbellsville scored five runs in the seventh inning for a 5-2 win.The Indians were held to four hits in the game with Shawn Little. Klint Rose and Dwawie Mills each stroking singles. Little and Mills scored on a double by Brady Miller in the fourth inning.Mike HofT. who pitched 64 innings was the losing pitcher.In the second game. Mike Hatfleld walked with the bases loaded in the eighth inning to force in Rose with the winning run.The Indians’ 4 3 win improved their record to 18-10 and 11 5 in the district,Brant Poore went the distance for Cumberland on (he mound, allowing sLx hits.Cumberland stroked five hits, including a pair of singles from Paul Scott. Devin Prinz and Rose ;ilso managed RBI singles.The Indians host Knoxville College at 1;30 p.m. Tuesday.
