The five-mile course was laid out on the Iowa River Conservation and Improvement Club grounds in Steamboat Rock. There were 190 entries in Sunday’s oval races held on theone-half mile oval track on the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Eldora.Ralph Gast of Steamboat Rock was the only local winner in the LeMans races as he copped the Modified II class, 295-340 cc. Gast also won first place in the same class in the abbreviated oval races. Jack Rogers of Eldora was the only other local winner in tne- oval races as he took first in the Modified I class, 0-295 cc.Reigning as Snow Queen overthe two-day event w*s pebble Nissen, 19, daughter, dfc Mr. andMrs. Keith Nissenvof Iowa; Falls•crowned at the awards banquet held Saturday night'IRC I lodge.
