Sunday Baseball Will Continue In MichiganLANSING, Mich. (AP) — You can relax now, Tigers and Yanks and baseball fans.State Sen. John P. Smeekens says he won’t try and stop Sunday’s game between Detroit and New York.Smeekens had threatened toseek enforcement of a 1846 Michigan blue law forbidding sports contests on Sunday if the Senate didn’t go along with his contention that the blue laws of Michigan need revising.The measure, shutting most retail stores on Saturday or Sunday, passed the Senate Thursday. It also legalizes Sunday baseball.
